Sedere SEDEX 100LT LT-ELSD Detector
Universal low-temperature ELSD detection for HPLC, UHPLC and SFC with maximum sensitivity
The Sedere SEDEX 100LT is a Low-Temperature Evaporative Light Scattering Detector (LT-ELSD) designed for universal detection in HPLC, UHPLC and SFC workflows. It detects compounds that cannot be measured by UV, RI or other optical techniques because no chromophore or electroactive group is required.
The patented low-temperature evaporation technology protects thermolabile and semi-volatile compounds while maintaining high sensitivity. Combined with advanced optics, SAGA™ automatic gain adjustment and broad chromatography software compatibility, the SEDEX 100LT delivers reliable quantitative results across a wide range of applications.

Detect compounds less volatile than the mobile phase with low-temperature ELSD technology
The SEDEX 100LT operates through three steps: nebulization, low-temperature evaporation and optical detection. First, the eluent is converted into a fine aerosol using an inert gas. The mobile phase is then evaporated in a heated drift tube at low temperature, minimizing analyte degradation. Finally, the remaining particles pass through the optical detection cell where scattered light is measured and correlated with analyte mass.
This technology enables the detection of compounds that lack UV absorption while remaining fully compatible with gradient methods and a wide variety of mobile phase additives and buffers. Gas Supported Focusing (GSF™) technology enhances sensitivity and reproducibility, while SAGA™ automatic gain adjustment helps prevent signal saturation and extends the usable dynamic range.
