GERSTEL – Vacuum In Tube Extraction V-ITEX
The GERSTEL V-ITEX is a fully automated, vacuum-based extraction method developed by Swiss government institute Agroscope, CTC Analytics and Gerstel for the GC-MS determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Automated Vacuum Extraction with V-ITEX
Using a controlled vacuum , V-ITEX enables gentle extraction and enrichment even from temperature-sensitive and complex matrices at low sample temperatures without solvent consumption. Enriched analytes are transferred directly and completely into the GC-MS system using the Gerstel CIS for refocusing, ensuring the best possible detection limits and accurate results.
