DVLS Diene Value Analyzer

The Diene Value (DV) is a key quality control parameter in refining and petrochemical processes. Even trace amounts of conjugated dienes like butadiene or isoprene can cause gumming, sludge, catalyst deactivation, and product instability. Monitoring DV helps protect equipment, ensure efficiency, and prevent costly downtime. Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions (DVSL) has developed the Diene Value (DV) Analyzer as a fast, safe and accurate alternative to the traditional UOP 326 method. This automated DV system delivers reliable Diene Value results in five minutes, with minimal sample preparation and no hazardous reagents.

Fast, safe & automated Diene Value Analysis

The DVLS Diene Value (DV) Analyzer provides an automated, fast and reliable alternative to the traditional UOP 326 method. Using a Diels–Alder reaction with UV-VIS detection, it accurately quantifies total diene content within 5 minutes. The system eliminates manual handling and hazardous chemicals, making it ideal for process monitoring and quality control.

Proven against GC–MS/FID and GC–VUV, the analyzer shows strong correlation, improved recovery, and high sensitivity. It detects Diene Values from 0.5 to 100, outperforming UOP 326 in both speed and low-level detection across all sample types.
