OI Analytical Eclipse 4760 Purge-and-Trap Sample Concentrator
High-Performance VOC Analysis with Superior Water Management and Maximum Laboratory Throughput
Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) analysis requires reliable sample preparation, excellent chromatography, and minimal system downtime. The Eclipse 4760 Purge-and-Trap Sample Concentrator combines advanced water removal technology, rapid trap heating, and intelligent automation to improve analytical performance and laboratory productivity. Its patented Cyclone Water Management™ system removes more than 96% of water during thermal desorption, reducing GC maintenance while improving the analysis of polar compounds. Designed for GC and GC-MS workflows, the Eclipse 4760 delivers accurate, reproducible VOC results across a wide range of environmental applications.

Minimize Water Transfer and Carryover for More Reliable VOC Analysis
The Eclipse 4760 automatically purges volatile organic compounds from liquid, solid, and gaseous samples using an inert carrier gas. VOCs are concentrated on a sorbent trap and rapidly desorbed onto a GC or GC-MS system for highly sensitive analysis. The patented Cyclone Water Management™ system removes over 96% of trapped water before transfer to the GC column, resulting in better chromatographic resolution, reduced maintenance, and improved data reproducibility.
Direct resistance trap heating above 1,000 °C/min ensures fast analyte transfer and narrow peak shapes, while optional technologies such as Foam Sensor™, Foam Buster™, pHDetect™ and Sparge Overfill Sensor (SOS™) help prevent contamination, downtime, and operator errors. The result is a reliable and efficient purge-and-trap platform that maximizes productivity in high-throughput environmental laboratories.
