Detect trace level TBC in 1,3 Butadiene
Current method ASTM D1157 determines TBC traces in 1,3 Butadiene with a detection limit of 50 mg/kg and requires evaporation of large volumes of Butadiene. Our new Application Note presents an alternative approach developed by Da Vinci Laboratory Solutions, using a GC system equipped with a Liquefied Gas Injector: the Butadiene Analyzer.
Safe, Accurate and Reliable GC Solution
Tests of TBC in 1,3 Butadiene using the Butadiene Analyzer show a consistent linear response, no carry over, detection limits below 1 mg/kg, and RSDs under 5%. This approach also eliminates the need to evaporate large sample volumes, improving analyst safety while ensuring accurate and reliable quantification.
The analysis results indicate that the DVLS Butadiene Analyzer is a safer and more reliable alternative to the ASTM D1157 method, offering improved performance in terms of sensitivity and reproducibility.
