ZOEX GCxGC Thermal Modulators
Comprehensive GCxGC Modulation for Agilent Gas Chromatographs
Complex samples often require additional chromatographic separation beyond conventional one-dimensional GC. ZOEX thermal modulators enable comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC) on Agilent GC platforms using a two-stage loop modulation design with one cold jet and one hot jet.
Both the ZX1 and ZX2 systems feature no moving parts, support two parallel column sets, can be installed on most commercially available GC systems, and may be supplied with a new GC or retrofitted to an existing instrument. The systems are designed for high reliability and can be self-installed with supplied cables, hoses and assembly tools.
Choose the Right GCxGC Thermal Modulator for Your Laboratory
ZOEX offers two thermal modulation solutions for GCxGC:
- The ZX1 Thermal Modulator uses liquid nitrogen cooling and can achieve cold jet temperatures as low as -189 °C. The system includes a liquid nitrogen level controller, bench dewar and vacuum insulated transfer line.
- The ZX2 Thermal Modulator provides continuous cryogenic cooling without liquid nitrogen consumables and achieves cold jet temperatures as low as -90 °C using a floor chiller and vacuum insulated cryogenic transfer line.
- Both systems use two-stage loop modulation, provide hot jet temperatures up to 450 °C, and feature an open in-oven design without a modulation chamber.
